On the River

Back in June, right after school was out, our friends, the Coleman's invited us to spend the afternoon along the river. We enjoyed the sun by playing in the sand and taking a few dips in the Columbia! The boys had lots of fun and Wyatt even took a liking to their little girl Izzy! It was a great day and we can't wait to do it again soon!

I Love Stickers!

I love to stick them all over!

One Last Easter Surprise!

Playing with my new parking garage!

No Way! My Own Parking Garage!?!?
We had one more special treat for Wyatt on Easter; a parking garage for all his cars. His friend Mason has one of these and he absolutely loves playing with it! Wyatt has been getting so many matchbox cars lately that we thought he would love to have a parking garage of his own! I wish the picture of his reaction to seeing it wasn't blurry, but I think you can get the idea of how happy he was to see it!

Egg Hunt

First Egg found!

Outside hunting!

Woo Hoo, another one!

Smile, all done! Crazy hair is from nap :)

My loot!
The Easter Bunny hid all kinds of eggs around the house and outside. Wyatt loved collecting all the eggs and an even better time seeing what was inside. He got stickers, bubbles, gummy bunnies, special cookies, and some money to add to his bank! Such fun!

Easter Baskets

Wow, look at all this!
Wyatt had a great Easter this year! He got 2 baskets full of toys and a few sweet treats at home and then he got 3 more baskets at our family dinner; from Auntie Erin, Cousin Katie and G. Auntie Gail! So Spoiled! He was so excited for all of his new things!
Even a ball with a bunny on it!

So excited!

Egg Dying

Ready to get started!
Wyatt really got into dying Easter eggs this year! He hasn't quite grasped the concept that the eggs are breakable, so he was dropping them from the top of the cup. As the egg went crashing to the bottom of the cup, the dye went splashing!
All my cups are full of eggs!

So proud of all my hard work!

Mini Photo Shoot

Children's Museum

One one of the last days of Spring Break, Wyatt, my Mom and I all went to the children's museum to explore. I normally don't like to go there when there will be big crowds, but we hadn't been in so long and lucky for us, grandma was treating.  Wyatt was a little timid at first since there were so many people, but he eventually warmed up. He loved the giant light bright, the transportation room, digging in the rubber pit, the water room, and the building room. He also went in the pet hospital for the first time, but it was super busy, he spent most of the time just watching the other kids in there. The water room was so full and out of water smocks, we decided that Wyatt's rain coat would do! Overall, a great time at the museum!

Backpack

Wyatt was really wanting his own backpack that he could wear around. My mom had one just his size that she doesn't use anymore. He loves to wear it around, put his trains, cars, and books in it, and of course pose with it on!

Outside Time

Riding one of his bikes~

One of the biggest reasons we love living with my parents is that Wyatt has a place to go outside and run around or ride a bike and it's completely safe! Since the weather here has been so hit or miss, it's nice to pop outside for a few minutes when the sun peaks out. Here are some pictures from a few different outing!

Fort Time

Wyatt has recently discovered forts! We use his art table and chairs, along with the couches and our BIG blanket to create the perfect space for having a snack, looking at books or watching a movie. Wyatt enjoys being in the fort and always tried to lure the kitty in too!

Play doh Fun

Wyatt loves play doh! He asks to play it at least once a day. I have at least a 100 cookie cutters left over from when I taught preschool, and Wyatt can't get enough of the "cutters." We keep them in a big tub, but he insists on dumping them ALL out every time!

Papa's Hat

Wyatt loves to wear one of Andy's hats. He always has to wear it backward too :)

Basketball

Wyatt got a basketball hoop and ball for Christmas and we had hid it and were waiting for the right time to put it up. Wyatt found it so we had no choice; up it went on the side of the fridge. He loves it! He will attempt to put just about any ball he has through it and shouts "more points" over and over again. He was playing the other day, so I decided to get out the camera to try and get some action shots. However, if you read one of my earlier posts, you can probably guess what happened. He began posing for pictures. In 1 of the pictures it looks as though he is dunking the ball, but what's really happening is that Wyatt is holding the ball in the hoop just so I can take a picture. As soon as the picture was taken, out came the ball. Wyatt is so funny with the camera!

Snow

So, the weather in the NW has been crazy this year. While everyone else in the country has been seasonably warm, the NW has been seasonably cold. There were several nights in March where we would get a dusting of snow, nothing to miss school. However, the last day before Spring Break we got just enough to have a 2 hr delay; only in Oregon would this happen! Wyatt loves the snow and he got the chance to go out and enjoy it just a little. He mostly just walked around in it. He was funny about it though; he did not want to step anywhere in the snow where someone else had stepped. He had a great time making as many Wyatt footprints in the snow as possible!

Vacuuming

When Wyatt was smaller he was terrified of the vacuum; didn't even want to be in the same room as it. In the last couple of months he has become obsessed with it! Lately he has been asking to vacuum everyday! When we try and help, because the vacuum is so big, he says, "Wyatt do it!"

Our Little Poser

So, Wyatt has turned into quite the poser. He has even gone as far as to asking to have his picture taken! Once the camera comes out he goes into full model mode! Here are some pictures from shortly after his hair cut. Andy got the camera out in the living room but Wyatt insisted on having his picture taken on the stairs!

First Hair Cut

It only took 27 months but we finally did it; we got Wyatt's hair cut! It wasn't as painful as we thought it would be and we LOVE it! We went to a local salon that is designed to cut kids hair. They were wonderful there! Wyatt sat in a fire truck and even got to watch Monsters Inc. while he got his hair cut. He was scared stiff at first; he didn't move almost the entire time! We gave him a special cookie to keep him distracted and he clutched that thing for the entire cut and then ate it as soon as the cut was over! Funny kid! He looks so handsome (although we might be biased) and like such a little boy now! Here are some before, during and after pictures that we took.
